Worst To First!!

The Carolina Crusaders JV Football Team capped of an exciting season at home Saturday night with a PFL JV Championship win against the Hickory Hawks. Just one year earlier the Crusaders finished their season without a single victory. But that all changed at the start of the 2014 season with an overtime win against the Tennessee Silverbacks. The victories continued with wins over the Lake Norman Storm, Anderson Cavaliers, Cabarrus Stallions. Asheville Saints, Greensboro Panthers and Hickory Hawks. The teams one loss came on a last second kickoff return for a touchdown against a strong Cabarrus Stallion team. That one loss was all they needed to remind them of the previous season and get the Crusaders focused on bringing home the first JV Championship in the history of the Carolina Crusaders Football Program. Congratulations to the Carolina Crusaders JV Team for their 9-1 season and for being crowned 2014 PFL JV Champions!

Final Score:

Hickory Hawks: 0

Carolina Crusaders: 14

JV Crusaders Win Late

Friday Night Lights in Catawba, North Carolina

It was one of the toughest played games in the PFL this season. The Carolina Crusaders took on the Hickory Hawks in a preview of the JV Championship game. Both teams battled strong on defense most of the game. Carolina jumped up early with a 6-0 lead but Hickory scored with 1:00 left on the clock in the 4th to go ahead 8-6. The Crusaders were pinned deep on their 8 yard line and proceeded to move the ball 92 yards in 5 plays with brilliant running by Darrell Darling and Alex Mills. With 4.0 seconds left on the clock Darrell Darling broke several tackles on an amazing 40+ yard run to score the game winning touchdown. The Hawks and the Crusaders will meet again Saturday October 25th at 7:00 pm for the PFL JV Championship game in Rock Hill, SC.

Final Score:

Carolina Crusaders: 12

Hickory Hawks: 8
